"Muted Traces" – Exhibition at artspring berlin
Open Studios | 3 & 4 May 2025
As part of this year’s artspring berlin festival, I’ll be showing a new photo series titled "Muted Traces".
The images were taken in an abandoned shopping center — a place that has been silenced, shut down, made invisible.
And yet, traces remain:
Of people. Of movement. Of light. Of meaning.
"Muted Traces" speaks to silence imposed — spaces that were once active, now subdued.
It’s about what lingers after places are shut off.
About presence in absence, and the quiet resilience of the forgotten.
The exhibition is part of the Open Studios and takes place in the space of Tanya von Barnau Sythoff (@tvbsberlin), who will present an installation work.
Alongside, works by Wei Tan (@weitanart) will also be on view — adding further perspectives through painting and mixed media.
Together, the space becomes a conversation between photography, painting and installation — a shared reflection on presence, loss and transformation.
